Photographers with Special Needs was a project in which Franki developed her previous educational experience with children at Pinewood Special School but now adapted her approach for adults with learning difficulties. Photographers with Special Needs was a project which sought to democratise and make accessible the medium of photography as a creative and therapeutic tool.
The photographers on the project were taught and became skilled in both photographic and darkroom techniques.
